Nurturing Hope and Healing in Extended Care: The Transformative Journey at Wellness and Recovery with Maitri (WARM)

by Brenden Fasken | Nov 24, 2023 | Uncategorized

The extended care model at Wellness and Recovery with Maitri is a testament to the understanding that recovery is a multifaceted process requiring time, patience, and a nurturing environment

This place is wonderful. I live here and was the second resident to move in. They helped me in my recovery, helped me get my own business running, the IOP groups are very helpful, individual counselors are compassionate and well versed. They adapt their care to my needs, they know one size does not fit all. I've learned a lot about myself and my life has changed completely since I entered this program. I love it here and would recommend it to anyone. Any addict that wants to change their life should check out Maitri.

I literally love Rachel, she has helped me through some pretty hard issues. When I was going through an almost relapse, she allowed me to come in multiple times during the week and call her anytime just so I could talk. She really helped me figure out what to do and what not to do. Since starting therapy a few months ago, I've felt so empowered to change my own life and I feel like I have the confidence to have hard conversations.

Maitri Path to Wellness: Mental Health and Addictions Counseling
May is Mental Health Awareness Month! At least 1 in 5 people will experience a mental health disorder in their lifetime. 1 in 6 young people have experienced a major depressive episode. 1 in 20 Americans have lived with a serious mental illness, such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and major depression. Myths about mental health exist but addressing them can help to reduce the stigma. Individuals with mental health disorders are NOT all violent, CAN hold down a job, CAN recover, are NOT lazy or weak, DO deserve treatment, NEED friends and loved one's support, and their lives ARE as important as anyone else's. We, as a society, have to work to break the stigma around mental health and create a supportive environment for individuals that need our help. Maitri Path to Wellness is a safe space for ANYONE. We are a judgement free zone and have the resources you may need. Throughout the month of May, we will be offering helpful tips and resources, self-care advice, many facts and positive affirmations, and last but not least, bringing AWARENESS. Please contact our office at (815) 780-0690 if you or someone you know is seeking help. We have a dedicated team of counselors who are here to help you in your journey. Also, visit our website at maitripathtowellness.com/ for a more detailed description of what we offer here at Maitri.
